The Double Darien-
9.3% ABV, 25-40 IBV
Imperial IPA
The 1st Europeans to make Darien home were a hearty bunch, surviving a treacherous journey across the seas only to face typhoid, malaria and yellow fever upon arrival. This robust, full bodied brew is for them! Intense flavors of caramel, citrus and malt, this is sure to become one of your favorites. Go ahead, have a pint. We don’t dare you, we Double Darien you!

The Hessie- 5.9% ABV
German Hefeweizen
Darien was a bustling port city when Adam Strain, a native New Yorker, arrived in the 1850s. He soon became what the Darien Timber Gazette called "the leading merchant of Darien," building a business empire out of this very building. We like to imagine Mr. Strain relaxing over a refreshing Weiss beer made by the area's German immigrants. The subtle aroma of vanilla, clove, banana, and black pepper eased the stress of many a long day. Our Hessie will do the same for you.

Lighthouse Lager - 4.0% ABV
Light Lager
The Lighthouse on the coast of Sapelo Island was constructed in 1820. It suffered many problems with its lens and was repaired many, many times. It was re-lit after the Civil War in 1868, but then had to undergo more significant repairs to its 100 ft skeletal tower. It was re-lit yet again in 1998 and stands mighty and proud as a protector to those at sea and ashore. May her light never dim and shine bright for us all- CHEERS to that which lights our way!

The Altie- 6.0% ABV
Amber Red Ale
That hissing sound near the mouth of the Altamaha River might just be Altie, Darien’s legendary sea monster! The Muscogee Creek tribe encountered this eerie creature – known as Altamaha – ha – long before immigrants from the British Isles colonized the area. Listen carefully near Fort King George and you may still hear the elusive beast’s distinctive sibilant call.
